The Ford Maverick is one of the smallest trucks ever made, bringing Ford's impressive capability and technology to an all-new market. If you've been holding off on purchasing a truck because you don't like how big they can be, we highly recommend you consider picking up a Maverick at Nelson Auto Center Inc.
Performance
The Maverick may be small, but it has a lot going for it, even under the hood. The standard powertrain on this truck is unique in that it's a 2.5-liter fully hybrid engine. No other truck around Wahpeton comes standard with a hybrid powertrain. This option can provide you with up to 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, and, unsurprisingly, you can drive an incredible 42 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, according to EPA estimates.
If you'd like a bit more power, you can opt for the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine. While it's not a hybrid powertrain, it makes up for that by providing up to 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Combined with the 4K Tow Package and all-wheel drive, this gives the Maverick a maximum towing capacity of 4,000 pounds.
Interior
The Maverick's cabin hardly feels cramped. In fact, passengers will be surprised to find plenty of legroom. This is true even for those who sit in the middle seat of the back row. Where you would normally find a bump running through the middle of the cabin floor, you'll find space for your legs to relax.
The standard 8.0-inch touchscreen display gives Fargo drivers quick access to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, allowing them to listen to their favorite music or check their messages with ease. On higher trims, you can also get SYNC® 3 to get enhanced voice commands, or you might want to pick up wireless charging to ensure your phone is always ready to go.
A six-speaker system comes standard, but, like most other features of the Maverick, you can upgrade it, too. For the ideal listening experience, you'll want to pick up the Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.
Exterior
The obvious feature of the Maverick's exterior is the truck's bed, which is 4.5 feet long. Inside, the bed has a 12-volt power outlet, and you can add a 110-volt outlet, too. There are cubbies hidden in the walls of the bed on the higher trims, too, giving you some extra space to store smaller equipment and tools. The bed also comes with six bed tie downs standard and up to 10 available, and a variety of optional towing and hauling accessories are also available, ensuring that Detroit Lakes drivers can get the ideal truck for their needs.
At the front of this truck, LED headlamps come standard. LED signature accent lighting is available for the taillights, as is a cargo lamp LED and LED box lighting.
Trim Levels
The Ford Maverick is available in three trim levels: the XL, XLT and Lariat. Every trim level comes with the hybrid powertrain standard and the gas powertrain available. The XL is a good starting point for anyone looking for a light-duty truck to transport the equipment they'll need for their next DIY project. The XLT adds some unique accents in the cabin, brings the bed tie downs to 10 and adds keyless entry to the driver's side door.
The Lariat is the option to choose if you want everything there is to see in the Maverick. You'll get an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, ActiveX™ upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and so much more.
